Marble and Light: A Dialogue of Materials

By Yvonne Haveland Evensen

Marble and glass share a unique relationship. Both respond to light, revealing depth, texture and subtle variation.

When combined, the solidity of stone and the transparency of glass create a balanced contrast. Marble grounds a space, while light softens and elevates it. Together, they form a dialogue that feels both sculptural and serene.

This balance is central to many of our interiors, where materials are chosen to complement rather than compete.
